🛠 HOW WE THINK ABOUT TECHNOLOGIES

At Reaktor, we are not looking for specific work titles or technology competencies, we are looking for a personality. We know that good developers can create great things in any language so we have no hard language or tech requirements.

We're big enough of a company that listing all the technologies and tools we use makes very little sense. At Reaktor the team decides what the best tools for the job at hand are. Sometimes it's Clojure running in a Kubernetes cluster, and sometimes it's a small piece of JS running on AWS Lambda.

💥 WHAT IS WORKING AT REAKTOR LIKE?

The Amsterdam office has a unique vibe, being a lively mix of 20 nationalities. We are relatively small in scale (50 people and growing) which allows us to form meaningful connections with every team-member and make sure that everyone has a say in how the company works.

We love to spend time together! To keep the Reaktorian community blooming, we organize Thursday dinners and hangout at the office playing video games and ravaging the beer fridge on a Friday evening.

You can participate in a podcast club, organize a cycling trip or join a group to dive deeper into code with friends - there are tons of Slack hobby channels for you to choose from or suggest new ones.

Also, we have a company boat ready to take you around the Amsterdam canals and we can teach you to skipper it as well!

💻 WHAT KIND OF PROJECTS WILL YOU BE WORKING ON?

You’re going to be solving juicy tech problems in meaningful, future-forward ways. We deliver anything from the automation of beer brewing processes and fintech mobile apps to the scaling of infrastructure needed for drops of limited-edition adidas sneakers.

We work in close co-operation with clients to help them succeed in technology. For that reason, you’ll be spending time between the client’s premises and our beautiful office in Jordaan once we are back offline.

🪁 HOW CAN YOU GROW IN THE COMPANY?

Reakorians enjoy working with juniors and seniors on the shiny and dirty bits of the codebase alike. No ivory tower architects here. We don’t believe in specific job titles but encourage everyone to shape their own work and skills.

Some of our favorite projects include helping Flow festival address the issues of climate change, increasing the accessibility of the tech field for women and supporting AI literacy with our free Elements of AI online course translated into all the EU languages.
